Unit no. 63 of the National Service Scheme is constituted at the college. The unit is a vibrant one, actively involved in myriads of activities . The unit has adopted a village, Eagle Plantations Colony. The current programme officer is Mr. Basheer Ahammed E.K, Assistant Professor of Commerce.
The unit is actively involved in projects like “koode”, environment enrichment programmes, planting of saplings, blood donation, water harvesting, cleaning of water bodies, awareness programmes, swachh Bharath programme, Anti- narcotic, women empowerment programmes etc.
The unit was actively involved in flood relief activities and cleaning and restoration of affected areas. They also provided hundreds of relief kits, and kitchen utensils for affected familes. Schools, public places,wells etc. affected by the flood were also cleaned.
As a part of the special camp, a library was set up at Chennamangallur UP school by the unit. They also made a medicinal garden.
Health surveys, pain and palliative care activities etc are undertaken by the unit.
The unit conducts several programmes and observe important days throughout the year.
The beautification and cleaning of the campus is another priority of the unit.
